Graphic design isn't always glamorous. Every project isn't an app icon, t-shirt design or start-up business website. Sometimes you have to layout event programs and more often then not they need to be turned around very quickly with little direction.

 

I am showcasing the Inflammatory Breast Cancer Conference program because it was designed and printed in-house at Fox Chase Cancer Center. I created this from start to finish. Some 250 programs turned around in 24 hours.

 

With most conferences, as is the case here, there is usually a great deal of information with very little artwork. The toughest part of this project was getting a good flow, because the document was originally written for the web. This was never meant to be a printed piece, but at the last minute the powers that be made it necessary.

Without the benefit of page scrolling like the web, I broke the text up with color, subtle lines and varying columns. I believe the work speaks for itself and am happy to add it to my growing portfolio.
